The O&O Group
The O&O Group consists of four companies focusing on developing and marketing software. The oldest of the four is O&O Software GmbH, from which emanated O&O Services GmbH and exono GmbH. In 2006, O&O Software GmbH bought a majority holding in acticom GmbH, a company specializing in developing software for mobile telephones. All companies have their headquarters in Berlin, Germany.

The Company
Berlin-based O&O Software GmbH has been developing and selling standard software for Windows since 1997. Its customers include private customers, companies and public authorities. The products are sold successfully in over 140 countries, both direct and through a network of partners. The product portfolio comprises applications for performance optimization, data recovery, secure data deletion and Administration, all under Windows. O&O products have won numerous awards and comparison tests, being named in the process as technological leader in its field. Since 1999 acticom GmbH based in Berlin, Germany has been offering its expertise in the areas of wireless telecommunication, security within access networks, and compression of multimedia data within a network. Since 2001 acticom GmbH is developing and selling special protocol stacks from these areas and facilitates their integration into cell phones, central components of cell phones, and software solutions and operating systems. We draw our customers either from companies focusing in the areas of the wireless communication system, such as WLAN Access Points, cell phones, mobile networks, chip set producers, or from publishers of software solutions for portable terminals. In 2005 acticom GmbH expanded its business operations to include applications for portable terminals. In area of business, it develops solutions for consumers, the middle-class and larger companies. The protocol stacks and solutions developed by acticom GmbH include: RoHC, RoHC_wimax, RoHC_mobile, 8021x_toolkit, 8021x_auth, authFW_wimax, 8021x_mobile. Applications for portable terminals include: acticom_supp – securing the WLAN connection, SMSzipper – compression of SMS on the cell phone.
